I am a happily married woman (for almost 30 years) in my late 40's. We have two grown daughters. I am the oldest of five children so I would love to hear from others who are first in the birth order. I love to sing, and wish I could gain more confidence to perform, because by golly, I'm told that I'm pretty good!!! I am a member of a local choral group that puts on two shows a year to benefit a civic organization or charity. I belong to a group of friends who meet for breakfast once a week and have done so for the past 15 years. This same group of friends also plans an annual weekend shopping trip which I always look forward to. I am a graduate of the class of 1976, and spent two years at the local community college after my children were born. I didn't receive my degree, but I got a good full-time job with benefits, so the mission was accomplished. I work for the local housing authority, and my experiences there so far are enough to supply me with plenty of material to write a very interesting book. I detest liars but find great joy in justice. I am a devout Chicago Cubs fan and damn proud of it. Says something about me.....LOYAL. I'm looking forward to see what kind of people I meet on LiveJournal that have the same or similar interests as me.
